Atri - The calanchi inaugurated as WWF 101st natural oasis / I calanchi centunesima oasi naturale
del Wwf
The Riserva Naturale dei Calanchi di Atri was officially presented yesterday at the Palazzo ducale by WWF Abruzzo President Dante Caserta. First feature will be the establishment of the hedgehog (the future symbol of the oasis) area, itineraries, the removal of environmental damages. Atri Mayor Mr Marchese says this is a paramount event for the area and the unique natural landscape of the Calanchi around Atri.

The Roccolani received an eight-member delegation from the Loira town; the French brought some vine plants to Rocca San Giovanni, then visited San Giovanni in Venere in Fossacesia and the Miracolo Eucaristico, Lanciano. The real exchange will take place next year in July and August.
