Antonio Finamore, secretary of the Societá Frainese, Clifton, N.J., says in the States there are 3,000 descendants of immigrants from Fraine: 50 lawyers, 70 doctors and two former mayors of Clifton. They claim they were the oldest immigrant group. In June for the procession of Mater Domini there are Frainese coming from Argentina, Canada, Florida and California. The first apparition of the Virgin Mary in Europe took place in Fraine in 1056. A delegation of 50 people will be in Fraine, Abruzzo, this August.
