Civitella Casanova - Soldier from Russia is back after 58 years for burial / Tornano i resti del soldato caduto in Russia 58 anni fa, by Antonio Di Clemente
Franco Di Fazio was 25 in 1942. The small box with his remains was officially welcomed in Abruzzo in a ceremony in the San Massimo cathedral, L'Aquila. Franco Di Fazio was born in Civitella Casanova on 21 june 1917, the third of seven children, Antonio, Cesare, Franco, Lucia, Giuseppe, Pierina and Beatrice. Cesare who still lives in Civitella, and Beatrice, domiciled in Ancona are the only ones still living.

After the donkey website established by a breeder of Introdacqua, now Marco Petrella has opened a website for the Abruzzese shepherd dog at the Url http://web.quipo.it/pastoriabruzzesi, with advice and images. This dog is the result of thousands of years of selection by Abruzzese shepherd populations.
